Recently, high-end industrial laser equipment manufacturer Zhongwei Precision Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongwei Precision") completed tens of millions of yuan in angel round financing. This round of financing was exclusively invested by Oriental Fuhai, with Huajun Capital serving as the long-term exclusive strategic financial advisor. Financing funds will be mainly used for R&D investment and team building.
Zhongwei Precision was established in November 2024, but its technology accumulation can be traced back to 2022. The company focuses on the field of laser ultra-precision processing, and its core business covers the R&D and manufacturing of high-end industrial laser equipment such as silicon carbide ingot laser stripping, diamond laser stripping, and water-guided laser precision processing.
According to data provided by the company, in the peeling of 8-inch silicon carbide ingots, the equipment of "Zhongwei Precision Instrument" can control the loss within 80 microns, while the loss of traditional wire cutting is around 250 microns, and other laser equipment is generally above 120 microns. This means that, taking a 20 mm thick ingot as an example, the company's technology can produce 40-46 wafers with a thickness of 350 microns.
In the more cutting-edge diamond cutting field, due to the extremely high hardness of diamond, traditional wire cutting is almost impossible to achieve effective processing. The company uses laser peeling technology to achieve high-speed peeling of single crystal and polycrystalline diamond. It is one of the first teams in China to break through large-size (30mm*30mm) diamond cutting.
In addition, China Micro Precision Instrument has also formed an independent technology layout in the direction of water-guided laser. Water-guided laser technology was first developed by a Swiss company and is suitable for processing materials that are sensitive to thermal damage. The company is the only team in China that has independently developed the three core modules from nozzles, optical components to water pumps, with cutting accuracy up to +5 microns.
Although it has not been established for a long time, Zhongwei Precision has taken the lead in bringing domestic laser equipment overseas. In March 2025, the company's first equipment left the factory for testing, and the order was obtained directly after the customer demonstrated the effect on site. Up to now, the company has sold several units to overseas customers, and several other sets of equipment are being tested externally.
