HGTECH Breaks International Monopoly in 3D 5-Axis Laser Equipment, Achieves Full Autonomous Supply Chain And Reverse Exports To Europe

3D 5-axis laser cutting technology integrates optics, precision mechanics, multi-axis linkage CNC, and dynamic trajectory algorithms. It is a core advanced manufacturing technology for processing complex 3D irregular curved surfaces, widely used in high-end fields such as automotive hot stamping, aerospace, and shipbuilding. For a long time, this technology was strictly monopolized by European, American, and Japanese enterprises. Domestic customers faced severe "choke points," including exorbitant procurement prices, lengthy delivery cycles, and the constant risk of supply chain disruptions.

To overcome this dilemma, HGTECH formed a young R&D team led by Zhu Chi, a post-85s engineer, with an average age of under 30. Facing a lack of mature technological references and strict blockades on core foreign data, the team rose to the challenge. Through extensive literature review, they mapped out the technical routes for four core modules: the 3D cutting head, laser source, CNC system, and mechanical structure. After thousands of repeated experiments and day-and-night dedication in the laboratory, China's first domestically produced 3D 5-axis laser cutting equipment was successfully launched in September 2017. This breakthrough reduced procurement costs for domestic customers by over 40% compared to imported equipment, completely shattering the foreign monopoly.

In recent years, the team has adhered to the principle of "design derived from manufacturing, optimization sourced from the front line," continuously driving product iterations. In 2025, China's first fully autonomous, fully automated, and unmanned 3D 5-axis intelligent production line was officially introduced to the market. In the same year, a complex curved surface 6-axis laser processing equipment, designed for precision micro-hole machining in the hot-end of domestic C919 aircraft engines, was successfully developed. Furthermore, the AUTOBOT series of 5-axis intelligent processing equipment has completed five generations of upgrades, developing various models including cantilever, fixed-beam gantry, and ultra-large-format machines, making China the country with the most diverse range of such products globally.

To date, the cumulative sales of HGTECH's 3D 5-axis series products have exceeded 1,000 units, serving global renowned enterprises such as General Motors, Gree, and Zoomlion. Most importantly, critical components including the 3D cutting head, core laser source, CNC system, and programming software have all achieved domestic substitution, reaching a 100% localization rate for the entire machine. Relying on high cost-effectiveness, efficient delivery, and premium after-sales service, these domestically produced high-end equipment have been successfully exported in reverse to countries including Germany, Canada, and South Korea. HGTECH now holds the No. 1 domestic market share and ranks in the top three globally.

From being restricted by others to achieving autonomous control, and ultimately stepping onto the world stage, HGTECH accomplished in less than 10 years what took European and American enterprises nearly 30 years. This achievement not only provides a solid guarantee for the safety and stability of China's high-end laser equipment supply chain but also injects strong momentum into the high-quality, high-value-added transformation of China's manufacturing industry.
