Anhui University Has Made New Progress in The Field Of Laser Chaos

Recently, the team of Professor Lv Liang from the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering of Anhui University has made new progress in the field of laser chaos. The relevant results were published online in the top journal in the field of optics, Laser & Photonics Reviews, with the title "Observation and Manipulation of Self-Chaos in Disordered Optical System" (DOI: 10.1002/lpor.202401402, the first author is Master student Li Haosen, Assistant Researcher Lv Jialiang and Associate Professor Li Hongtao are the co-first authors of the paper, and Professor Lv Liang is the only corresponding author of the paper). Anhui University is the only corresponding unit.

This work conducted relevant research on the dynamic evolution of laser self-chaos in disordered optical system, using the natural randomness in disordered optical system to eliminate the characteristic frequency existing in traditional ordered cavity structure chaotic laser and regulate the self-chaotic behavior of laser in real time, generating 570 Gbps of ultrafast true random bits. Based on the above method, the team also developed a local two-dimensional information encryption technology with information entropy exceeding 7.99 and correlation less than 0.006, showing its application potential in real-time encryption and information transmission in the field of secure communications.
