Some tips of anti – condensation for laser

◆ Laser is the most important core component of laser cleaning machine, marking machine and welding machine. Therefore, the protection measures of laser must come into notice.

◆ Especially near the rainy season, under the hot and humid environment, if there are omissions or faulting in the on and off sequence, cabinet airtight and water temperature setting, it may cause internal device surface to become condensation because of the temperature difference between inside and outside, thereby reducing the performance of laser or even damage the laser.

◆ In this case, if the laser is installed in the air conditioning room, making the temperature and humidity in the air conditioning room are lower than 27℃ and 50%, it will be able to effectively prevent the internal electronic or optical components from condensation, thus improving the reliability and service life of the laser.

◆ If the customer is unable to install air conditioner for the laser due to condition restrictions, the following points should be achieved in order to effectively prevent condensation.

◆ Keep the case airtight. In order to isolate the hot and humid air inside and outside the case, please ensure that the case is airtight. The check methods of whether the case is airtight are as follows:

1. Whether the door of cabinet is closed or not.

2. Whether the lifting bolts on the top are tightened.

3. Whether the protection cover of the unused communication control interface at the back of the case is properly covered and whether the used one is properly fixed.

◆ In order to make the cabinet air conditioner or dehumidifier continue to play a role, please keep the laser always on. Under the premise of safety, please keep the laser always on, including only turn off the water cooler at night, so that the laser can keep the power, and the cabinet air conditioner can keep running.

If the second point above cannot be achieved, the correct on and off sequence above should be followed when restarting the machine, regardless of whether an air-conditioned room is set for the laser. Please set the temperature of the cooling water as recommended below.

1. Pure water (also known as low temperature water) water temperature should generally be set at about 21℃, according to the situation can be adjusted between 20 ~ 25℃.

2. The water temperature of ion DI water (also known as high temperature water) should be set between 27 and 33℃, which should be adjusted according to the ambient temperature and humidity. The basic principle is that the water temperature of DI water should be above the ambient dew point.
