UK Manufacturer Launches 12kW Large Format Fiber Laser To Easily Cut 30mm Thick Plates

Recently, MTL Advanced, a large UK metal fabrication and contract manufacturing company, invested £1 million and relaunched a new LVD Taurus 12kW XXL-format fiber laser.
This new fiber laser is said to be the NO.1 of its kind in the UK by virtue of its excellent cutting performance and massive table size, with an impressive 14m x 3.3m oversized table and a cutting power of up to 12kW, which makes it easy to cut thin materials at high speeds with precision, or to handle thick plates up to 30mm thick.
And its advanced bevel cutting head realizes up to 45° bevel cutting, which provides the possibility of cutting various shapes and contours and greatly reduces welding preparation time. This will enable MTL to serve its existing customers more efficiently and explore new opportunities in a variety of areas.
The investment comes on the back of MTL Advanced's record 2023, which saw the company harvest a decade-long strong order book on the back of a series of major defense and construction contracts, laying a solid foundation for the company's ambitious expansion plans.
The newly launched XXL format laser is just the first step.MTL Advanced plans to invest a further £5m+ in 2024 to drive the company's rapid growth.
In order to keep up with growing market demand, MTL Advanced has also launched a major recruitment drive, with plans to bring in 90 new team members over the course of 2024.
