Samuel Sadoulet, CEO of Edmund Optics, said, "We are excited to join forces with Quartus Engineering. Their excellence in engineering and product development has convinced us that they are the ideal partner for us to achieve breakthroughs in optics. Together we will set a new benchmark for innovation and quality in the industry."
John Williams, CEO of Quartus Engineering, also praised the collaboration, "The partnership with Edmund Optics underscores our dedication to building highly collaborative teams of lifelong learners and faculty. Our optical expertise and experience provide a natural complement to each other, and we look forward to working together to develop innovative solutions that will bring value to our customers while making a positive impact on society."
In addition, the partnership will focus on joint research and development to address complex optical challenges and create new products with intellectual property rights.
The companies also plan to launch a joint marketing program to promote their joint service offerings.Edmund Optics and Quartus Engineering are confident in their upcoming partnership and expect this collaboration to drive innovation, enhance customer offerings, and deliver on the promise of next-generation optics.
Key Developments Continue
Notably, last month Atmund Optics announced that its facility in Shenzhen, China, has received ISO-14064-1 certification, marking significant progress in the company's efforts to manage its carbon footprint and reduce global carbon emissions.
This certification not only reinforces the company's commitment to the environment, but also demonstrates its steadfast execution of its sustainability strategy. Jeff Harvey, Chief Innovation Officer, said, "We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously, and achieving ISO certification is an important step toward our global environmental goals. We are proud of the continued efforts of our entire China team."
As a global leader in optical solutions, Edmund Optics (Edmund Optics?) has been serving a variety of industries, including life sciences, biomedical, industrial inspection, semiconductor, research and development, and defense since its founding in 1942.
The company designs and manufactures a wide range of optical components, multi-component lenses, imaging systems and opto-mechanical devices, while supporting OEM applications with volume production capabilities for standard and customized products, with more than 34,000 unique optical components available for immediate delivery. Its global manufacturing sites produce more than 2 million optical components and complete 170,000 assemblies annually. The company continues to expand, with offices in 18 locations around the world and more than 1,250 employees.
Early last August, the company also inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art 34,000 square meter Laser Optics Center in Oldsmar, Florida, USA. The center is dedicated to the manufacture of a wide range of optical components with high laser damage thresholds, from the ultraviolet to the far infrared, and serves to enhance Edmund Optics' laser optics manufacturing capabilities.
