RDO Equipment recently announced the completion of its acquisition of Rocky Mountain Transit & Laser, expanding the construction technology solutions, services and expertise of John Deere Construction and WIRTGEN GROUP's eight stores in Idaho, Wyoming and Utah, which RDO December 2023 acquired the stores.
Adam Gilbertson, RDO's senior vice president of field technology and innovation, said the acquisition allows RDO to better meet the changing needs of mountain construction customers.
Gilbertson said, "With RDO becoming John Deere's construction distributor in the mountains, it was a priority to add a technology component so that we can provide our customers with the full range of technology solutions they need.Rocky Mountain Transit & Laser has a 30-plus-year construction technology history. They are pioneers in construction machine control technology and we are very excited to welcome these employees to our team and build on their accomplishments."
All Rocky Mountain Transit & Laser employees have accepted positions with RDO. Rocky Mountain Transit & Laser in Las Vegas, Nev. and Salt Lake City, Utah, will be renamed RDO Equipment's Construction Technology Stores. At these locations, customers will have access to solutions from leading manufacturers such as Topcon, a provider of positioning technology that serves a variety of industries and applications.
