March 31, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Integrated Circuit Institute was inaugurated. Chen Yujian, Vice Mayor of Shanghai and Secretary of Minhang District, Chen Huawen, Deputy Secretary of Minhang District, Chen Huawen, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Qiu Wenjin, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Sun Zhenrong, Standing Committee Member of Minhang District and Vice Mayor of Minhang District, Zhao Liang, Vice Mayor of Minhang District, Zhang Xian, Vice Mayor of Minhang District, Yang Zhenbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Ding Kueling, President of Shanghai Jiaotong University and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and leaders of the university, including Zhang Ansheng, Lin Litao and Zhang Zhaoguo, as well as representatives of deans and academicians of sister universities. As well as the deans of sister universities and academicians' representatives, heads of relevant departments of the university, experts and scholars, and representatives of enterprises, etc. attended the meeting. The ceremony was presided over by Zhu Xinyuan, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President.
Ding Kui Ling delivered a welcome speech. He said that the establishment of the Institute of Integrated Circuits is an important practice for the university to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on his visit to Shanghai and respond to the implementation of the strategy of developing the country through science and education. He hoped that all the teachers and students of the School would contribute more wisdom and strength to the construction of Shanghai's global science and technology innovation center and accelerate the realization of high-level self-reliance and self-improvement with the confidence and belief that "there is a lot of possibilities" and continue to help the autonomous and controllable development of integrated circuits.
Mr. Chen Huawen, on behalf of Minhang District Committee and Government, congratulated the establishment of the IC Academy. He said that the establishment of SJTU IC Academy will inject new vitality into Minhang's industrial upgrading and high-quality development, and create a "city of three sciences" with science, technology and science and innovation. He hoped that with the inaugural meeting of the institute as an opportunity, the two sides will work hand in hand, two-way empowerment, to promote technological innovation and achievement transformation in the field of integrated circuits, and strive to realize the win-win situation of regional development and scientific research breakthroughs of the university, and create a new high ground for the integrated circuit industry.
In the presence of the guests, city and district leaders, school leaders jointly unveiled the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Integrated Circuit Institute.
At the meeting, Zhao Liang and Lin Litao, on behalf of the two sides respectively, signed the "Strategic Framework Cooperation Agreement between Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the People's Government of Minhang District for the Co-construction of Integrated Circuit Institute and Integrated Circuit Industry and Education Integration Innovation Platform". The two sides will accelerate the regional IC discipline construction, technology research and development and results transformation, empowering industrial and economic high-quality development as the goal, in the district school resources integration and sharing, IC industry innovation and development and talent exchange and interaction and other aspects of cooperation.
After the signing ceremony, Liu Ming, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Fudan University, and Qiao Jinxuan, vice president of Ge-tech Micro, made speeches as representatives of academicians and enterprises respectively. They expressed their hope to join hands with the Institute to focus on the frontiers of IC disciplines, strengthen the collaborative research of key core technologies, and cultivate more high-level innovative talents in the field of IC.
In order to better guide the academic direction and strategic development of IC Academy, IC Academy established the Academic Steering Committee. A number of academicians were recruited to serve as the first members of the Academic Steering Committee. Mr. Yang Zhenbin awarded the appointment certificates to the first batch of Academic Steering Committee members.
At the same time, in order to strengthen the integration of industry and education in IC Academy and collaborate on technology research and talent training, IC Academy set up the Industry-Education Collaboration Expert Committee, and invited more than 20 key enterprise experts to serve as the first batch of expert members.
In order to build a new industry-academia-research-teaching fusion platform for school-enterprise collaboration, at the meeting, Mr. Guan Xinping, Dean of the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, on behalf of the School of Integrated Circuits, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with more than ten cooperative enterprises. In the future, the college and the signed units will cooperate in technology research and development, talent training and other aspects, and constantly improve the transformation of scientific and technological achievements "acceleration", to explore the "talent training - talent gathering - scientific and technological innovation - industrial upgrading" cycle linkage of the development of a new ecology.
