Fifth Generation Mobile Communication Technology (5G) is a new generation of broadband mobile communication technology with high speed, low latency and large connection characteristics, and 5G communication facilities are the network infrastructure to realize the interconnection of people, machines and things. To meet the needs of diverse application scenarios of 5G, the key performance indicators of 5G are more diversified. ITU defines eight key performance indicators of 5G, among which high speed, low latency and large connectivity become the most prominent features of 5G, with user experience rate of 1Gbps, low latency of 1ms and user connectivity of 1 million connections/square kilometer.
With the past year's research, the founding team of Eddie Zhang, Junle Jia, Xiongmei Chen and other students have reaped certain achievements. By continuously developing experimental plans, practicing technical problems and manufacturing laser samples, the project team members have made some progress.
Based on the previous research and under the continued guidance of Prof. Luo Chun from Shanghai University of Applied Technology and Dr. Zhou Yan, lecturer from Shanghai University of Applied Technology, the team has started a new breakthrough this year by promoting learning through competition and working hard to make breakthroughs.
"When the experiment has some results, we all feel very hopeful and feel that the days and nights we have paid are not in vain, and we also hope that our technology can be more mature and our products can be put into mass production as soon as possible. It is the wish of all our members to provide faster internet speed for everyone's 5G life." With last year's experience, the team members have been able to work together tacitly, and it is a joy to work together to do something meaningful. The process of turning theory into practice is a reflection of the team members' feet on the ground every step of the way.
