A few days ago, the United States laser cleaning system developer Laser Photonics announced that the company has been successful from Europe's largest aviation group - Germany's Lufthansa Airlines technology subsidiary "Lufthansa Technik" (Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico). Technik Puerto Rico, the technology subsidiary of Lufthansa, Europe's largest airline group, has successfully secured an order for a cleantech laser cleaning system.
Lufthansa Technik is the world's largest independent provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for small and medium-sized aircraft to airlines.
The company reportedly chose to purchase Laser Photonics' CleanTech LPC-1000-CTHS laser cleaning system as their preferred cleaning solution, stating that the technology offers them a non-abrasive, environmentally friendly, cost-effective and operationally safe cleaning method.
This single-axis CleanTech laser cleaning system will be utilized in Lufthansa's equipment cleaning operations to reduce the time required for cleaning and maintenance, resulting in lower costs and reduced maintenance time.
Laser Photonics' CleanTech LPC-1000-CTHS is a portable 1000W handheld laser perfect for laser cleaning, roughing and finishing a variety of surfaces (e.g., iron/steel/aluminum, etc.) at a cleaning rate of 120 square feet per hour. This handheld laser cleaning system uses the latest L4 class fiber laser technology to provide superior results while being safer and more environmentally friendly than traditional abrasive cleaning methods.
