On January 29, at the Photonics West 2024 conference held in San Francisco, DoGain released the latest progress in 915nm high-power and high-efficiency semiconductor lasers, realizing for the first time a single-tube device with up to 110W power output.
With the booming industrial processing market, the power, efficiency and brightness of semiconductor laser chips are facing new challenges, and the improvement of any aspect of laser chip performance will play a huge role in promoting laser applications. The newly developed 915nm 500um width single-tube double-junction laser chip with extremely high electro-optical conversion efficiency has achieved a breakthrough high output power of 110W at room temperature and 55A continuous working condition, which is the leading level in the industry.

The technological breakthrough of double-junction laser chip is built on the basis of the mass-produced single-junction 9xx nm chip technology, and now the industry's popular 915nm 320um bar-width single-tube laser chip reliably outputs 45W power under room temperature continuous operating conditions, with an electro-optical conversion efficiency of more than 65%; 500um bar-width single-junction chip output power reaches 74W under continuous operating conditions.
