Consumer Electronics Giant Laser Selects New Exclusive Distributor

Australian consumer electronics giant Laser has selected Dicker Data as its new exclusive distributor in New Zealand, with the aim of further expanding its presence in the market.
The decision comes after Laser terminated its partnership with Pacific Comm. Under the new agreement, Dicker Data will be responsible for selling Laser's full range of consumer technology products, covering more than 800 products across 22 categories.
Laser has a long history of strong relationships with a number of major retailers in New Zealand, including The Warehouse Group, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and PB Tech.
This new agreement will focus on offering a more diverse range of products to existing and new retail partners, with plans to introduce new sub-brands.
Laser General Manager Chris Lau said, "Against the backdrop of the rising cost of living globally, Laser has always been committed to delivering affordable, high quality consumer technology products. Now is a great time for us to expand in New Zealand and beyond. We are confident that Dicker Data is the best local partner to help us realize this vision."
With additional promotional programs in place, local consumers will experience Laser's extensive product line sooner.
Desmond Ling, general manager of Dicker Data New Zealand, also recognized the partnership, saying that Laser's brand and product portfolio are a great fit with its existing partners.
Desmond Ling said, "Laser's offering of cost-effective, high-quality technology products that can be brought to market quickly will allow it to sit alongside our existing leading brands and help us to tap into an important and emerging area of the market."
From the end of June, Laser's products will be fully available to Dicker Data's retail and commercial dealers.
