Accelerate The New Industrialization Of China's Laser Display Industry Ushered in The Golden Age

High-quality development is the core connotation of China's new industrialization. Take the laser display field as an example: the industry is more integrated in the era of digital economy, reflecting the new connotation of productivity, representing the global new display industry productivity leap.
Dual HD, large color gamut, high viewing comfort, large size, low power consumption, long life, small size, light weight, low price ...... In the new round of TV replacement tide, laser TV this "new species" is gradually becoming the consumer's "new favorite". "New favorite".
In fact, laser TV has become the fourth generation of mainstream display technology following the black and white display, color display and digital display, and the industry regards it as one of the important strategic directions to promote the upgrading and transformation of the display industry.
On May 17, 2018, Hisense launched an 80-inch 4K laser TV: leading technology and complete independent intellectual property rights, 100% independent research and development of the core engine, and completely independent operation from R&D and design to complete machine production and manufacturing. That month, in the 75-inch and above super-large screen TV market, Hisense ranked first with 26.88% of sales, surpassing South Korea's Samsung and Japan's Sony for the first time, and maintains the advantage to this day.
Now, the number of core enterprises in the upstream and downstream industrial chain of global laser display has increased to more than 200. From a product to an enterprise, from an enterprise to an industry, laser TV from the "small industry" gradually become "big climate". Hisense as the representative of the Chinese TV companies not only in the laser display technology global leader, but also become the entire laser TV industry standards and rule makers.
From Europe and the United States to Japan and South Korea, from Japan and South Korea to China, the world's home appliance industry is entering the era of Chinese enterprises, China's laser display industry has ushered in its own golden age.
Self-innovation for the new industrialization to add impetus
Chinese brands have realized the "curved road to overtake" in the field of laser display.
According to incoPat (science and technology innovation intelligence platform) statistics, as of August 31, 2023, the world's open laser projection display technology valid and pending patents totaled 68,000, China's patents accounted for 33.56%, ranked first; followed by the United States and Japan, accounting for 25.89% and 20.44% respectively.
Not only the number of patents, domestic enterprises have a leading edge in many aspects of laser display technology development and product application, and many innovative technologies and innovative products are pioneered by Chinese enterprises -
In January 2023, at CES2023, Yang Yang Optics unveiled the world's first 0.16DMD ultra-short-focus optical lens projector; Hisense unveiled the 120-inch 8K laser TV 120LX, which is equipped with Hisense's self-researched LPU digital laser engine "brain," which can reach a level of more than 100 billion times per second. More than 100 billion times, marking Hisense 8K laser display from the technical program to the product has matured.
Xu Zuyan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said: "China's laser TV has a global market share of more than 50%, and with the comprehensive improvement of the laser display industry chain, the formation of laser display industry clusters, laser display industry chain gathering place, China will become the global laser display 'Silicon Valley'. "
Laser display has become China's high-end manufacturing overseas "business card".
On the consumer side, at present, the color TV market has entered the inventory stage, and the structural upgrading in the direction of large screen has become the main driving force. Laser TV has become the preferred choice for the replacement of the family big screen by virtue of its large-screen immersion, high home integration, low carbon and environmental protection features.
"One of the outstanding advantages of laser display is high viewing comfort and healthy eye protection. Because it is diffuse reflection imaging, the light is reflected by the screen into the human eye, and the human eye to watch the principle of all things natural, and effectively circumvent the harmful short-wave blue light." Xu Zuyan analysis.
Looking at the global consumer market, laser TV has become China's high-end display technology overseas business card. RUNTO data show that in the first half of 2023, the global laser TV market TOP3 brands are Chinese companies. Among them, Hisense occupied 43.8% of the share, ranking first in the world. Since 2019, Hisense's compound annual growth rate in overseas sales has reached 144%, and it has been sold in more than 40 countries and regions around the world, covering more than 250 channels, such as Best Buy in the United States, Open Marketer, and BOULANGER in France.
Laser TV is popular in Western Europe and other developed countries, not by cost-effective rushing the market. The 2023 White Paper on the High-Quality Development of the Laser Display Industry points out that in the overseas market, the ordinary Chinese TV is priced at 300-500 U.S. dollars, while the average price of Hisense laser TVs in Germany, Italy and other places reaches 3,000-5,000 U.S. dollars. Relying on the concepts of audio-visual theater and healthy eye protection, laser TV has gained the recognition of high-quality users in developed countries.
"The achievements of the laser display industry in the overseas high-end market and the pulling power of the display industry once again illustrate that technological innovation is the fundamental driving force to drive industrial upgrading and realize the everlasting growth of the foundation, and that only by establishing a technological longboard advantage in the field of emerging displays can the industrial chain be pushed to the high-end." Hisense laser display general manager, chief scientist Liu Xianrong said.
"Double carbon" to help the development of laser display industry
Under the trend of national "carbon peak" "carbon neutral" dual carbon target, laser display as a green technology has received attention.
Laser TV, for example, has a significant advantage in energy saving and emission reduction. 2022 January, the China Electronic Technology Standardization Institute Saixi Laboratory announced the 100-inch laser TV and the same size LCD TV energy consumption comparison test results: in the product standard mode, laser TV than LCD TV power saving 63.9%; in the theater mode, laser TV than LCD TV power saving 55.5%.
In recent years, with the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and other new technologies iterative upgrading, the green low-carbon sustainable development of enterprises also has more possibilities, ESG has become an important indicator of the high-quality development of enterprises.
The relevant person in charge of Hisense Vision said that at present, Hisense Vision is promoting the construction of a set of green low-carbon production system covering the whole process of energy utilization, R&D and design, supply chain, manufacturing, sales and after-sales, recycling and comprehensive utilization. Compared with traditional TVs, Hisense's self-developed laser TVs are able to realize energy savings of more than 50%, and the total recyclable utilization rate of its component raw materials reaches 92%.
In terms of green manufacturing, Hisense has built a "zero-carbon factory" on the basis of a national green factory. Recently, the company's Jiangmen factory passed the audit of SÜD, an international third-party testing and certification organization, and was awarded the PAS2060 Carbon Neutrality Declaration Certificate. This signifies that the factory has achieved zero net carbon emission performance in energy utilization, manufacturing, logistics and transportation.
Analysts pointed out that for the laser display industry, "carbon neutral" will give rise to larger and newer application scenarios. In the future, laser display will play a greater potential in medical, virtual display, aviation, vehicle and other fields in a new form. Laser display industry should further build a green and low-carbon as the support of ubiquitous, perceptual, intelligent and sensitive scene ecology, for "carbon neutral" help, is bound to jointly promote the progress of people's lives, improve the visual experience of more people, so that more people experience the convenience of life brought about by science and technology, to enjoy the fun of the era of the big screen.
