1. Summer-Specific Maintenance Guide
Summer's high temperatures and humidity pose significant challenges to precision optoelectronic equipment. Please pay special attention to the following:
Environment & Temperature Control: Keep the working environment temperature below 40°C and humidity between 40%-60%. It is recommended to equip the facility with an independent air conditioner or dehumidifier to prevent external hot and humid air from entering and causing condensation on internal components. The temperature difference between the chiller's set temperature and room temperature should not exceed 7°C to prevent condensation.
Enhanced Heat Dissipation: Ensure there is at least 1 meter of clearance around the equipment and 3 meters of space at the heat dissipation vents. Avoid direct sunlight. Clean the dust from the cooling fans and filter screens weekly to ensure unobstructed airflow.
Cooling System Maintenance: The cooling system works under heavy load during summer. It is recommended to replace the pure or distilled water monthly. Never use tap water, as it can cause scale buildup and block the pipelines.
Avoid Prolonged High-Load Operation: Avoid running the machine under high load for extended periods during peak heat. A single continuous operation should not exceed 4 hours. Allow the equipment to cool down after a period of operation.
2. Daily Maintenance of Core Components
Optical Lenses (Top Priority): Lens contamination is the leading cause of equipment failure (e.g., lens burning). Inspect the protective, reflective, and focusing lenses daily. Always wear gloves when cleaning. Use lint-free wipes or cotton swabs dipped in 99.7% absolute ethanol or acetone, and wipe gently in a single direction. Never wipe back and forth or touch the optical surface with bare hands.
Auxiliary Gas Source: The auxiliary gas used during cleaning (e.g., nitrogen, compressed air) must be strictly filtered to be water-free, oil-free, and dust-free. Impure gas will actively contaminate the lenses, causing transverse burn marks.
Fiber Optic Cables: Fiber optic cables are highly fragile. The bending radius must be ≥30cm during operation and ≥20cm when idle. Strictly avoid excessive bending, stepping on, or dropping the handheld gun to prevent internal optical path deviation or fiber breakage.
3. Standard Operations & Regular Inspections
Strict Power-On/Off Sequence:
Power-On: Add water first, then connect the gas, and finally the power. Turn on the chiller first, wait for the temperature to stabilize, then turn on the laser, and finally start the output.
Power-Off: Stop the laser output first, keep the cooling system running for 10-15 minutes, and turn off the chiller and main power only after the equipment temperature returns to room temperature.
Electrical & Mechanical Checks: Check the grounding resistance monthly (should be ≤4Ω) to ensure proper grounding. For equipment with transmission mechanisms, regularly apply grease or replace gear oil to ensure smooth movement.
Dust Extraction System: Clean the dust filter cartridge after daily operations. Regularly check if the pipeline is unobstructed to prevent dust accumulation, which can reduce suction power or even cause fire hazards.
4. Maintenance for Long-Term Storage
If the equipment is expected to be idle for more than a week, please take the following measures:
Thoroughly clean the exterior. Drain the coolant from the chiller and pipelines (if the ambient temperature is below 0°C, retain antifreeze or blow dry with an air gun).
Disconnect all power supplies, cover the entire machine with a dustproof and moisture-proof cover, and store it in a dry, well-ventilated area. Place desiccants inside the chassis in humid environments.
During long-term storage, it is recommended to power on the equipment every 2-4 weeks (for at least 30 minutes each time) to dissipate internal moisture and prevent mold growth on optical components or circuit corrosion.
