Oil extraction often utilizes drilling technology, in which the drilling tool first breaks up the rock and drills into the ground, drilling a borehole of a certain depth to obtain oil. The drill bit, as the main force of drilling, consists of a diamond composite piece (PDC) as its core component.

The diamond composite piece is known as the hardest substance in nature. It is a composite material made of diamond micropowder and cemented carbide substrate sintered under ultra-high-pressure and high-temperature conditions, so it has not only the high hardness, high abrasion resistance and thermal conductivity of diamond, but also the strength and impact toughness of cemented carbide, which makes it an ideal material for drilling bits and other abrasion-resistant tools.

Laser processing due to high efficiency, no contact, small thermal deformation of the workpiece, no material loss, cost-effective and outstanding processing characteristics and advantages, and the laser beam is easy to control, and precision machinery, precision measurement technology and electronic computers combined to achieve high automation and high precision diamond composite sheet surface processing.
As the environment facing oil exploration becomes more and more harsh, especially when the traditional plane diamond composite drill bit encounters highly abrasive strata, extremely hard rock layers, tough interlayers and other geological formations, the drill bit is difficult to eat into, and at the same time, the plane diamond composite does not come out of the cutting edge, chipping and other serious forms of failure. In this case, it is necessary to produce the plane structure of the diamond composite piece on the drill bit into an irregular shape like a ridge, in order to improve the drilling ability and efficiency of the drill bit. As shown in the figure below.

It is difficult to realize this requirement with ordinary vibrators, but if we introduce 3D dynamic focusing system laser processing, then everything becomes possible. In the experiment, we use dynamic focusing system combined with fiber mopa fiber laser (100w). In the processing of irregularly shaped surfaces, the dynamic focusing system Z to the dynamic axis of the back and forth, real-time adjustment of the focus, to achieve the grinding plane, rounding, chamfering and other shapes of the one-time precision 3D subtractive manufacturing. The principle is shown in the figure below.

In addition, the laser equipment design is equipped with side-axis vision, coaxial vision high-precision position control system, which can further improve the accurate positioning in the processing process. Laser engraving effect
